Jobless man arrested for stabbing petrol station attendant

One Bala Lawal, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates� Court today, Friday, for allegedly stabbing an attendant who stopped him from smoking in a petrol station.
The unemployed 23-year-old is said to live on Lawal Street, Mangoro, Agege, Lagos.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Mike Unah, stated in court that the suspect  stabbed Mr Godwin Okonta on Nov. 8 at Aguda, Ogba in Lagos, after smoking marijuana.
The prosecutor said Okonta told Lawal to excuse himself  from the filling station since he was smoking, after which the accused later came back and stabbed him in the head with a knife.
Buttressing his point, Unah said witnesses consequently caught the accused.
He said that the offence contravened Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
However, the accused, pleaded not guilty.
Consequently, the Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Gbajumo, granted him bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum, after which the case was adjourned the case until Dec. 4 for mention.
